CORE COMPRESSION DRILL FOR HANDSTAND
Banana back in handstand Wanna press to handstand? Try this strengthening exercise
.
Place your hands on 2 blocks with shoulder width, and feet on a blanket.
.
Press your hands down firmly and lean forward with your back rounded. Exactly like in cat pose, you tuck your chin and tailbone under. The weight is more on your hands as if you're getting into #lolasana.
.
Squeeze your knees to chest with your shoulder blades protracted. We often squeeze them together, but avoid this to keep the centre of your chest lifted. You'll notice even your chest muscles get activated
.
Extend your legs back, keeping your upper body in cat pose shape. You're in plank pose with your toes pointed. This is the time your pelvis and belly start to sink, so resist!
.
Repeat these by maintaining the height of your hips & belly for whole time!
.
Warm-up your wrist and shoulder before you attempt

It’s a good way to build strength also for #lolasana

WARNING: major strength builder!
This one is a must for anyone looking to build a stronger core, arms, legs, and mind! The first time I learned #lolasana my legs felt like they weighed 2000kg and I thought no way...but sure enough after the 100th time or so it started to make sense. It simply takes practice.
::::
That being said, go ahead and cheat a little while you practice to make the lesson a little more fun and a little less intimidating. Use a block under each hand to help you lift and shift your body weight and add a strap to compress your body (key tip: press your feet into the straps to activate and pull your butt back!). Have fun with it! You might face plant a few times, that’s ok! Put a pillow there and give it a snuggle each time you do falling is part of the process to rising.
PS: this is an essential strength builder for inversions especially press handstand!

Here are some things you can practice to get better in #lolasana or the pendant pose #zgungstutorials
.
Know that this pose requires for you to try it more times - somehow your brain needs to learn how to engage all the parts necessary and my opinion lately is that it requires more shoulder strength than anything else So pay more attention to the 5th video, and make sure that you are actually using your shoulders to lift, and not just your legs
.
That’s it from me for today!
.
Let me know if this changed anything

Do you always think your arms are too short to lift your feet off in #lolasana ? We all have pretty much the same length!
But maybe you can try these
•
✔️ Round your back like in cat pose. I often see students keep their spine straight or arched. By rounding, you can fire up the abs
•
✔️ Tuck your chin and look back towards your navel like in cat pose for the strong core!
•
✔️Lean forward as much as you can to shift your butt forward. Our pelvis is the heaviest part. So it's easier to lift up by moving your focal point above your foundation (hands).
•
Spend enough time to warm up your wrist as you need to flex your wrist a lot!
Hope it helps ❣️

Something really revolting happened yesterday morning...
.
So we’ve just spent the Easter weekend in the South of France at my parents and we’re outside playing before breakfast. My three year old is playing with the cat and suddenly says to me: ‘Mummy. Is this a real mouse or pretend mouse ’
.
And he stands there holding a dead mouse...
.
It took a few seconds for my brain to process what I was seeing but when it did I screamed to Drop. The. Mouse
.
After washing his hands ten times I was worried I’d freak him out about mice so we went back to look at its perfect but still little body and I asked him what it felt like. He said sausages
