We had an amazing time with so many other local vendors at the Taste of Granville sharing the mission and purpose of Visionary Meals. This is not my new 6 weeks plan to get a to get leaner for summer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is what I’m going to do to prepare 2 weeks of hiking in the rockies in Canada.
This is me putting a 6 weeks plan together to get fitter, stronger - so I can keep up with the intensity and to be able to see the best of the Rockies! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I thought I would share this with you, showing you how you can get fitter without compromising your social life and without getting obsessed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Eating more nutritious food and less “less” nutritious food than I would usually. So I can get as much vitamins and nutrients as I can.
- Increase my protein intake to support my training.
- Train at least 5 times a week with a combination of strength training, endurance weight training (with a lot of full body/compound exercises) and cardio (to train my stamina and be able to keep going for longer).

I’ve just spent the most active 3 days of my life - hiking and mountain biking ♂️ It was hard, challenging but so damn rewarding! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s really in those moments that I have no regrets of getting at 6am every morning to go to the gym... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And it’s at the top of a mountain that I get the best rewards! Being able to do intense physical activity for 5-7 hours, 3 days in a row without failing or without feeling overwhelmed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At no point during my adventures did I wonder if my thighs had a big enough gap, or been worried by the fact that I did not have a six pack. I didn’t care. All what mattered was what my body was capable of. The six pack and the peachy bum meant nothing at the top of the mountain.

This is the kind of achievement we should all seek for. The one that celebrate what your body can do instead of what your body looks like.

No cardio is not just to lose weight, and even though it might be boring for some it can also help you to keep going for longer. It train your heart and lunges. And deadlift and squat are not for the only purpose of a peachy bum. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stop being so focused on what you look like in the mirror and start looking at the bigger picture
