Today is Mandela Day, honoring the life of Nelson Mandela on what would have been his birthday. I was lucky enough to meet Nelson Mandela when I traveled to South Africa with my family for the @specialolympics. He spent time with us, and talked about the power of the individual, the power of acceptance, the power of forgiveness, and the power of compassion. It was really moving to meet a man that epitomized all those values, and those are the values that we need so much more of in our world today. In his honor and his spirit, I hope we’ll all got out and treat each other with respect, kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. #mandeladay

Yesterday I went to Lephalale, in fact Ga-Seleka which very close to Botswana border. I spent time with @lephalale_municipality @palalaboutiquegame @winnie_mashaba @enelgreenpower, Mayor Jack Maeko, the councillors and volunteers who work tirelessly to uplift the community. We brought gifts for the community but my highlight was the bicycles that were donated to students who live too far from school. Of course, I had to test ride! I know it was #mandeladay but I had to celebrate one friend and icon, @thulasindi who also celebrated his birthday. Since we couldn't be together, I at least wore him. I love you Thula, hope yesterday was all that and more!
