I couldn’t agree more. I’m growing, I’m learning, I’m teaching, I am settling in to the person I was meant to be. And the more I settle into this “bodysuit” the better it feels. ✌

Elective Premed Class Suggestions ~
You know about the mandatory prerequisites for medical school. You know your major classes. But if you are interested in expanding your knowledge or preparing for something specific here are my suggestions!
Anatomy and physiology:
Great classes to evaluate your interest in studying the human body. Will give you a mini-insight into what you’ll be spending your life studying. *Usually time consuming classes but can often be counted towards the BIO prerequisite requirement.
Statistics and/or biostatistics:
I highly recommend statistics to prepare for the MCAT. There are so many evaluation methods/graphs that you will not understand without stats or serious self-prep. If you have any interest in any field of research, I also highly recommend biostatistics!
Genetics:
Contrary to popular belief, this class is not required. If you struggle with the genetics principles you learn in molecular biology, you may want to take this class to prepare a bit for the MCAT and med school.
Cell Biology:
Most med schools require biochemistry, some give the option of biochem or cell bio! Between the two I would choose biochemistry since it’s more emphasized on the MCAT. But if you have time, cell bio is a great class to learn details about the fundamentals of human life, and how to read research!
Psychology/sociology:
Not required. My personal least favorite classes (not because I don’t LOVE these principles, the classes themselves were just very boring.) I would recommend self-studying these for the MCAT if they aren’t required for your major and opting to take other classes — unless you have any interest in them and you just want them for fun!
Sociology of aging/End of life:
Most schools offer this class in some way and I recommend it to everyone. It was an easy class that I got SO much out of. If you need an elective, this is one to take.
Writing:
I cannot stress how important writing is to your future profession (doesn’t actually matter what that is) so TAKE A WRITING CLASS.
Other class suggestions?!⬇
If it is not gonna matter in 5 years, don’t spend more than 5 minutes upset by it! Smile to life, smile to your problems, smile to people that don’t like you or you don’t like, smile to people that you like. You will see, eventually, that your life will become better and worries will be bane and worthless! Doctor’s orders ⚕️

So true right?
.
.
.
Be patient. Things take time.
.
So many people trying to run “the marathon” before they can even learn how to run the first mile.
.
For example if you’re just starting with fasting start with just 12 hours break between meals don’t start with a 16, 18 or 24 hour fast daily like a fool
.
.
By the way I was that fool
