Being equipped with an ever since then fixed brain chemistry enabled me, after over 22 years of trying, to finally gain control over my life and thus to overcome depression, anxiety and eating disorder. I relocated to Berlin, met hundreds of wonderful people and made dozens of new friends, I share countless enriching memories and experiences with. In retrospect, I can humbly say, it provided me with the means that were necessary to develop enough self confidence and emotional stability to prevent myself from committing suicide, after my mother succumbed to cancer two years ago. So the last month has been a battle of the wills, it's been hard, but the paediatrician finally increased his dose on Friday and he started his new prescription today, everything was serene this morning when he took his tablet. It kicked in fast, he wasn't docile, he was normal, he didn't slam the door or run off or shout at every person that passed him, he didn't make silly dog noises. This is the kind of behaviour I am up against when he doesn't take his medication or if his medication isn't at the right dose. It isn't down to "bad parenting" or "mums let him get that way" because when he does take his tablet he is polite, kind, charming and a great thinker. Hes had another great day today and his swim instructor tonight has said hes seen a massive improvement from last week. He doesn't even know his meds have been increased.
