The sad thing about the Blitzkrieg is that it occurred so quickly that many of the weapons and vehicles used by the Polish, Belgians, Dutch ect never were able to be documented nearly as well as other weapons in the war.  Many are surprised to learn that many of the tanks and firearms of these nations often outclassed what was in the German arsenal at the time. Today we have Poland's 7Tp, and there are two ways to describe it. One: It was basically just a upgraded version of the UK's Vicker's 6-ton. Preferable way:  AND ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RING, BOLSTING A 37 MM ANTI TANK GUN, 110 HORSEPOWER DIESEL ENGINE(25mph max speed), AND .6 INCHES OF FRONTAL ARMOR, THE 7TP!!!!! AND ON THE LEFT SIDE, ARMED WITH A MG13 MACHINE GUN, A 59 HORSEPOWER AIR COOLED GASOLINE ENGINE, AND .6MM OF ARMOR, THE PANZER 1! 3. 2, 1, FIGHT! Boxing ring joke aside, you get what I'm going at. The 7tp was, on a technical level, far ahead of many of the tanks it faced. There were actually two versions produced, the single turret version depicted here, and a twin turret version similar to the vickers tanks deployed by Bolivia. By the time Poland was invaded, it is estimated that there were 108 single turret 7TPs, and 24 twin turret 7TPs, with many of the single turret 7tps actually being converted twin turreted ones. So for its time, we have a fairly underrated armored gem. The issue is, it was utilized very poorly.  And if we are going to be honest sometimes the situation an Army finds itself in is so bad there really is nothing they can do. In the Polish Army's case it was caught completely by surprise. Germans to the west, with Soviets eventually pouring in from the East. All in all, I still love the 7TP. Oh and I forgot to mention that there are some very interesting camo schemes on this thing, a few of them were even camoed in a checker board-like pattern! And yes the bear is a Wojtek reference. I rate the 7tP a 8/10 Also, that soldier to the far left is not holding an American BAR, but a browning wz.1928, the polish version of the BAR.
