Too many times middle school teachers are told that we’re “brave,” “crazy,” or “a blessing” because we choose to teach middle school, & “why would anyone choose that age group?” I not only chose but got a degree in teaching “that age group” because it all comes down to the kids. That “in between stage” is what makes these kids sassy, ambitious, funny, & full of all the potential in the world. It’s important that they see that middle school doesn’t have to be their awkward years, but the ones they discover who they are, what they want to be, & what they truly care about. Yes, it takes a special person to love middle school, but don’t knock it ‘til you try it. I did, & I love that I found my place in the middle.✏️ #SteppingOffMySoapbox
