I’ve received a lot of messages asking about Sol’s birth. I think it’s because I’ve been sharing Ina May’s book about natural childbirth on Stories. Sol’s birth was a dream AND the hardest physical thing I’ve ever done. Her birth was a planned home birth turned hospital transfer. I labored at home for 2 days and 2 nights with contractions minutes apart the whole way through. After 40 hrs my midwives decided we should go to the hospital. I transitioned during the drive, fully dilated as I entered the hospital room, pushed 3 times, and she arrived. I got through my epic long natural birth, I faced my fear of hospitals, and she was perfect. I’m reading about natural birth from a midwife’s teachings now because I knew that something happened last time that kept me from opening. And I have found my answers. I’ll share them in another post soon. .
