The next couple of days I am going to be working my first back to back 12 hour shifts and I‘m excited, but honestly very nervous. I have to leave the house by 6am and sometimes Eli isn’t awake by that time. Then I get home around 8 or 8:30 and usually he’s already in bed. Do you know your purpose in life? Are you doing the work that you feel that you were called to do? ⠀ ⠀ I remember being in my senior year of high school and helping a family friend at the time with her relocation to the US. I worked through helping her with housing, childcare, food assistance, you name it, I helped with it. I remember thinking, THIS IS IT. ⠀ ⠀ I felt called to help people in some of the most difficult times of their lives - to be the calm in the midst of their storm. Now I know this sounds very general, but in Social Work, we do cover it all. ⠀ ⠀ See, I was fortunate enough to know early on what God had called me to do. But as I have grown and have surrounded myself with so many amazing women, I have found that not everyone knows from such a young age what their purpose is in life. Not everyone has that clarity. ⠀ ⠀ And although I always knew Social Work was it, I always yearned for more and it wasn’t until recently that this platform has fulfilled my alternate purpose of empowering women to live their most purposeful and fulfilling life. ⠀ ⠀ So I want to know, do you know what your purpose is in life?
