I'd like to introduce you to Rahmone. This little hero has been an inspiration to me.. hopefully he will be to you too. Here's his story.. Feel free to share. . . As a parent there is really only ONE thing that frightens the life out of you.. and that's losing your child. Imagine being at home and noticing red spots on your 2 years olds arm.. You immediately press a glass up against it right?.. but then they don't disappear. . PANIC STATIONS. At this point you're thinking the WORST. Meningitis. Shit. So you rush him into hospital. Hours pass and you're waiting for some kind of news.. Basically for confirmation of what you THINK you already know.. but when the doctor comes back with news it's NOT Meningitis. Instead they tell you that your child has blast cells in their blood... Your 2 year old has Leukaemia. . . 8 months in hospital, 3 rounds of high dose chemo, over 50 blood and platelet transfusions and a bone marrow transplant with a match followed for Rahmone. But do you see what's consistent throughout his journey? That smile NEVER leaves his face. It's mad because you hear about cancer survivor stories but it's not until it's someone you know and you watch the journey for yourself that you realise just how tough it is.. and how much strength is required to get through it. This boy is my hero. Seeing his daily updates puts my trivial problems into perspective. He's dealt with more in his short life than people twice my age but he's always laughing and smiling. The doctors told @missmkstephens that her son had 1% chance of survival.. can you imagine that? I can't. Rahmone, Thank you for every single smile little man ❤. . . Appreciate life guys.
