Here, I am performing Blocked L2 Supine Knee CARs posted by @mindset4movement. I didn’t have a long enough foam roller, so I substituted a rolled up yoga mat #wheretheresawilltheresaway. Notice the jerking I exhibit because I am being forced to USE my range of motion to keep that mat from smacking me in the face. Meanwhile, I’m fighting to maintain dorsiflexion of the ankle while flexing and extending the lower leg through tibial rotations. I don’t own it yet, but #bettereveryday.

I have a pretty relaxed relationship with exercise. Have I always? Heck no! I used to push myself too hard, move in ways I didn’t enjoy and never let myself just rest. Why? Because I thought it would give me the body that I wanted. It didn’t. It did nothing but sabotage my physical and mental health. I now know that the body that I want is strong. It fits the build I was born with, can do Chathurangas like a boss, and gives itself rest when needed. I have come such a long way to using exercise as a benefit to my entire well-being.
