The Muslim Home • Having routine in the muslim home is so vital. Children thrive with correct discipline and routine aids that tremendously. Without routine everything would be done haphazardly. Thus, the successful ones are those with routine and the most important of routines is that which has Quran as its main foundation every single morning/ or day. Teach your household that nothing gets done before Quran with the exception of breakfast! I’m not quite sure what to say. My brain has been left scrambled since Friday and I’ve had no desire to do work, go out, or function as a mom. But realistically that’s just not an option as my kids still need me, I have work piling up and trapping myself inside just isn’t healthy. ❤️ . I reluctantly went out yesterday because I had to drop the kids off but SubhanAllah what a difference it made ! The beautiful sun, big fluffy clouds and fresh air was a big reminder of the beauty that still exits. The small things I would have normally not noticed became very clear signs that even though social media seems to be filled with not so beautiful things right now this world is still a beautiful place with good people. ☀️ . And don’t get me wrong we need to see, educate ourselves and read the stories in order to work towards change but what I have learned is that I’m so distracted by social media and entrenched in it that it became my world ! That all the sadness, heartache, and pain was all I could think about. . I read something beautiful by Asmaa Hussein from Ruqayas bookshelf, she said, “We are devastated, but we can't be broken by this. Because we know that Allah is the Protecting Friend of the believers, and we have absolute and unwavering hope in His Mercy and Justice.“ . So I CHOOSE to not let this break me. I CHOOSE to get up and resume my life. I CHOOSE to look at the beautiful words of the victims who have forgiven the killer and do the same. And InshAllah I hope for the same for all of you

Subhan'Allah, this really hits home! Let's not make our Masajids just for cranky adults. Be patient with young children playing & making noise. They will stay connected to the masjid throughout their lives, Bi'Idhnillah, if they have fond memories of their visits, while growing up. ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ You don't want to be the person that drives a person away from the masjid, because as children instead of being welcomed, they were yelled at & frowned at!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Be especially kind to mothers of young children. Instead of giving them dirty looks, offer to look after their kids for five, ten minutes while they pray.
