Aimovig round 2 update: (long post ✍) Thankfully last month the migraines significantly decreased in length and in quantity too . I’m not keeping an exact track, but I didn’t take almost any triptans. I’m being able to treat them majority of the times with my blend of essential oils and my ice hat (which for me this combo is miraculous). I also started to meditate again(not daily as I should) but I believe the little I do helps me a lot. I’m so thankful for having the opportunities and choices of treatments available, but I also believe that the inner work I’m doing is essential for my healing. If these words would’ve come from a person without migraines I’d probably wanted to kick her, but in my personal experience, I believe they almost go hand by hand in importance. I’ve talked many times about this, but the choices and attitude we have towards them are OURS TO DECIDE (it’s easy to say, very hard to do) but once my mindset shifted, I started to feel the same migraines differently (and I have to be clear here, it’s a daily job, I’m not always positive, this is a long journey with a lot of ups and downs I just started to embrace it). For me during a conversation with my dad last month while having a migraine, was when I realized how much my perception has changed, he said: I know you’re still not cured and I’m sure it’s very hard to deal with that pain, and I answered him: “I’m cured I just have migraines sometimes.” Approach is key. (Same same but different ) For all of you who are struggling, I understand you, I believe in you and I know by first hand, how debilitating and frustrating dealing with migraines is, but we can’t loose hope that we MUST be cured, that we can heal, and that we’re allowed to feel good.
