#myshoplife19 ⚠️catching up on day one⚠️ Introducing MOOCH - this is our wee shop on St Giles Street in Northampton. We also have a concession in @bell_northampton and two more shops opening soon. We are fairly new ... we’ve been open for just under two years. We still find it difficult to describe MOOCH, partly because we change every day. So I rather belatedly thought I’d join in with #myshoplife2019 an insta challenge for indie bricks and mortar shops. I left it a little late as we’ve closed for the day, but the prompt is ‘welcome to my shop’ - so here’s my shop! We’re The Eternal Maker, a modern fabric, haberdashery and workshop space based in Chichester on the South coast. We opened the shop 12 years ago, and we now call this fab old lorry depot our home! My favourite corner of the shop has no fabric in it. Day 3 of #myshoplife19 with @pencilmeinshop is ‘tea break and biscuits’ and where better to picture than our on site cafe. We opened this area of the shop nearly 4 years ago and it’s become the perfect place for community gatherings, quick meet ups, and to enable you to stay all day in the shop if necessary! Also, the coffee is pretty damn good - roasted by the awesome and fairly local @moonroastcoffee. #myshoplife Welcome to my Shop: ⠀ Here’s my shop, at 134 Walcot Street, Bath. It’s not very wide but it’s very long, and we’ve got enough space to house the retail area, design and print studio, workshop teaching space, plus basement of stock. ⠀ Originally we had a shop at 33 Walcot Street, but moved here four and a half years ago to condense the printworks and shop into one building. Much more organised and efficient, plus was more economical on the pennies too. ⠀ I love having a physical shop. I like having people that pop in because they like us. #myshoplife2019 Day 7. What’s in your shop name. The business is knocking on the door of it’s 10 year anniversary and has always traded under the same name, so when the shop opened we kept it. ‘Artcadia’ was a bit random and I liked the way it sounded.
