Have you ever spent time in the Joint? It’s one of our favorite hikes, not just in Utah, but anywhere, ever. The Chesler Park- Joint Trail Loop in the Needles District is somewhat strenuous at 11+ miles round trip, but it’s worth any aches and pains you might (will) have the next day. The Needles are spectacular to see up close, but the highlight for us was when the trail dropped down into the Joint: narrow fractures between massive sandstone slabs. If you’re claustrophobic, you may want to sit this one out. . When you go: the spur trail to the Joint is beyond the Chesler Park Overlook. Before you reach the overlook, however, you’ll hike through a narrow crack that looks like the Joint and feels like the Joint, but it isn’t the Joint. Trust us, this is important to know. Sometimes you just need to pause and admire the beauty around you. . While hiking through the Peek-A-Boo trail at Bryce Canyon, we encountered several views that made our eyes pop and our jaws drop. . Even though there are thousands of hoodoos scattered all over the canyon, every hoodoo is unique. With one looking like the Thor’s Hammer and another one like Queen Elizabeth, it all depends on the observer’s imagination. #hoodoos . . One such view was the one you see here in this picture, called the Wall of Windows - a perfect natural formation of hoodoos that’ll make you believe in natural wonders. ❤️ .
