Fat Loss Lessons Learned Part 1
Being as old as I am doesn’t come with a ton of advantages, but there is one: life experience.

I have probably tried it, experienced it, or failed at it a million times over.

And with fat loss? Here are some things I have learned over the years:

IT’S NEVER TOO LATE. Stop thinking it is , and start today.

For the vast majority of us, it’s not our metabolism that is the problem. Plain and simple, it’s eating too many calories. If you are concerned about your metabolism, get checked out by your doctor and keep moving forward.

Foods that are incredibly healthy, have calories too. Sometimes a lot of calories. Those calories count every bit as much as any other calories when trying to lose fat. It’s easy to overeat foods we deem as healthy. I did it for many years.

Related to ^^, eating “clean” is just not enough for losing fat if you don’t have any accurate idea of portion sizes.

This whole fat loss thing is going to take way longer than you want. Waaaay longer. If you can get rid of any timeline expectations, the journey all of the sudden takes on a different look. It becomes fun. Life is really enjoyable again. That mindset shift is truly life changing.

Instead of obsessing over how long it’s taking and why it isn’t going faster, switch your focus to the gym. Give yourself some goals and get in there and crush them. Work relentlessly towards those goals. You will be amazed at what will happen when you focus on strength. -

I've been off my pointes for about six weeks, which I couldn't afford. Back at it this week. Moving from the barre to centre has been challenging to say the least. Unlike many adult beginners I don't dance with other adults, but with a teenager, so the pressure is real. I must perform a full dance en pointe for my exam in October. I've finally had a barre made for home practice. Will be posting videos soon. I'm up for the challenge and feeling motivated again. Have a lovely Friday.

Want to go #gray, do it! Want to keep coloring, do it! Want to voice your opinion, run for office, write a novel, try something new, change lanes and get out of your comfort zone, DO IT.
Let's be honest, anti-aging means that you're against aging; you'd rather die than age? I am pro-aging. I've still got a lot of sh*t I want to do.
