if you are in Christ, your old self is dead. your sin no longer defines you. death is no longer the end. your past is past. Christ is your identity. you are forgiven. though sin lingers, though it is a continual battle with the flesh everyday, you are clothed in Christ’s righteousness and looked upon in love by your Heavenly Father. “therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. the old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 corinthians 5:17) your life is hidden with Christ in God. you are a new creation, a beautiful masterpiece being transformed by the Spirit each and every day. . . . . . . #newlifeinchrist #dailyscripture #scriptureoftheday #bibleverse #handletteredtype #bibleversedaily #poetry #identityinchrist #gracemakers #christiancreative #communityofchristiancreatives #hopeingod #alwayshope #delightandbe #handletter #hope #handlettered #womenoftheword #wordbeforeworld #christianlifestyle #faithblogger #thatsdarling #shereadstruth #shespeakstruth #soulscripts #solideogloria #togodbetheglory #solascriptura #artfullyseeking #godisgood

Take time to mediate on the words above before tomorrow. The One who created it ALL, gave it all up, including His life, for you. And for me. His death has been proven inside and outside of the Bible. And so was His resurrection. All over the world there were accounts of people hearing that this man, Jesus, died, and was seen alive again 3 days after. He wasn’t just a really good person or noble teacher. He either was who He said He was, or He was the biggest liar who ever walked the planet. You either believe everything He said or you believe none of it at all. You either believe Him and have put your faith IN Him, or you don’t. Everything in the Bible has been proven true and has come to pass up until this point. There is nothing that Jesus said would happen that HASN’T happened yet. And so, we get to go into tomorrow, with VICTORY, and EXCITEMENT in our hearts, KNOWING just how the story ends, and truly celebrating how a God, who so loved the world, gave up His only begotten Son to save it. And whoever chooses to believe in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Friends, Easter is so much more than church once a year, brunch, and dying eggs and chocolate. Easter is about Jesus, and how He came to save the world. True belief in Him changes us. True faith in what’s been done on the cross for us, should greatly impact us. And knowing that we have a King, who has conquered sin and death with His own life, to save OURS, should cause us to wake up tomorrow and shout for joy in EVERY part of our being, loudly proclaiming, “He has risen. He has risen indeed!” . Take time to talk to Him before tomorrow. Take time to praise your King. And take time to recognize the life you would be living APART from Him. And I don’t know about you, but that, THAT is a surely an incredible reason for the season to me. That, THAT is a Person and day worth celebrating. ❤️❤️

There has been so much change goin’ on lately and it has sure reminded me how much I need Jesus to hold on to. Change sometimes reminds me of the life I had before Jesus, when everything felt completely out of control and, to be honest, my life was out of control, even if I didn’t realize it yet. It was terrifying. But I have to remember that change is entirely different when you are walking with God. It’s exciting, but ordered. New, but guided. Different, but necessary for God to grow us into who He created us to be. I am realizing that if I want great faith, I need to be prepared for great change. I need to be ready to step out of the boat in faith and go towards change, just as Peter did when he walked toward Jesus. (Matthew 14:22) Change takes faith, and as much flack as Peter gets in the Bible, I admire him so much. He showed great faith. Crazy. Bold. And, a bit loony to other people. He literally got out of a boat and stepped on water, BELIEVING he could walk on it, when it looked impossible to everyone else. That, is the faith I want. Faith that doesn’t make sense. Faith that just trusts and believes. Faith that walks towards change. Whether it’s with changes in my life or, believing God to do the impossible, I want to to believe God is able, and will walk with me through, every step of the way.  I want to get out of my boat, every day, and trust Him with everything, even the things I don’t understand. Even the things that don’t always make sense. Peter walked out in faith. Peter HAD this kind of faith when he walked on water. I want it, too. So, what is God using to build YOUR faith today? Whatever it is, let’s get out of the boat. Whatever we need to trust God with, let’s do it. Let’s give it to Him and what He desires most — our faith. Let us be like Peter. Because THAT kind of faith pleases Him. Faith in what HE sees, not what WE see. Faith in what HE knows, not what we don’t. . Lord, take our mustards seed of faith, and make them into mighty trees planted in your beautiful garden. Help us step out of our boats. To walk on water with our faith and to honor you with what we are walking through in life today. We trust you, Lord. We trust you! ❤️

Dear God, ⁣ Have mercy on me Lord! I choose to not live for myself but to live for You and to bring glory to Your Name, Father. I ask Lord God that You would supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory; and that the things that I long for which do not align to Your will for my life will be removed. Father, I surrender all to You. Use all of me God, for the purpose which is greater than myself: Your Kingdom and Your glory. I declare this in Jesus' Name, ⁣ Amen.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but I’ll just use two: NEW LIFE . “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. "Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning" -Psalm 30:5 We have so much to be thankful for on this resurrection day! Not only are we reminded that Jesus has resurrection power over death, giving us hope, we also have a present joy in our NEW life in Christ! This Easter, Brandon and I are very aware of the abundant life God has blessed us with! This baby boy was given to us unexpectedly after a long season of waiting, and even though we felt as though our "joyful morning" had already come after a "night of weeping," God, in his great love for us, has given us an extra blessing by giving us another baby. Our doctors have been awesome and have taken every protective measure to make sure this baby makes it, and we are hopeful that we'll get to meet a healthy son in October! God is amazingly good and faithful ---> "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart." - Ezekiel 36:25‭-‬26 NLT

I used to think it was something to boast about when hurtful things no longer affected me. I used to think it was a good thing that any pain I experienced in the past, I no longer felt. I used to never take matters of the heart very seriously. I prided myself on having a heart that no one could break. I didn't really believe in marriage. I let hurtful things roll off my back, and when bad things or terrible things happened, I honestly never looked back. Friends, just because we have gotten real good at "forgetting" some of the things we have gone through or blazing over some of the things we never dealt with, doesn't mean they aren’t there. Undealt with hurts, emotions, and baggage will only end up hurting us in the future, cause problems in our relationships (and we won't have any idea why), and make us start to question so much about who we are in life. I thought I knew who I was before I finally gave Jesus the keys to my heart, and what I found, was I wasn't the person I had become at all. And day by day, as Jesus sat down with me, and dealt with every area of my past and heart, I slowly started seeing who HE created me to be, not everything the world had produced in me. I found out that I DID care deeply. Things DID affect me. There WAS a reason behind why I did things. And what happened throughout my life, DID affect me. When we have been hurt so much over the years, our natural reaction is to curl up our arms around our heart and protect ourselves from any more hurt coming in, but when we do that, what happens is we end up keeping not only people out, but also, Jesus, too. And we can't fully feel and know HIS love, until we allow Him FULLY in, to take out all the things that we went through in life, that were definitley, NOT love. Friend, you are not who your past has made you to be if you are living out of the pain and hurt instead of the healing and victory. I fully found myself when I found Jesus, and began to let Him have ALL of me. So maybe it’s time you let Him FULLY in, too, so YOU can see all He created YOU to be. . (If this was for you, I put a link in my bio for the workbook that we use at our ministry that can help with this very process. )
