Here I am doing some homework practice of the main elements of Engrossers Script (Copperplate) for the online course with @nikolietta_school. It is important to practice these elements with patience as they are fundamental for constructing letters. As my teacher Varvara says: "Practice is not enough for learning Copperplate, you need to have knowledge, patience, precision, good tools and a light hand". Classic Copperplate Calligraphy Alphabet! In Lesson 5 from the Copperplate online course we covered with Varvara @nikolietta_school all Capital letters and this is the creative task we had to complete. I have always struggled with capital letters to write them correctly and beautifully and I know that I need more study, practice and patience for many capital letters like C, G, H, K, L, O, Q, S, V. C R E A T I O N S W I T H A S T O R Y! • Today, I will share with all of you my graduation creative work for @nikolietta_school Varvara’s online Wedding Calligraphy Copperplate course, which has a story behind it very close to my heart. • The inspiration source that led me to create the final work is our 1st wedding anniversary of I and my husband which is approaching (02.09.19). As we all know, the paper is gifted as 1st wedding anniversary gift. Therefore, I have created this piece as a gift for my husband on our anniversary day, which I intend to frame it.The text was not chosen randomly, I have written our wedding dance song which is the wonderful ballad “I was brought to my senses” by Sting, a very meaningful song which makes me cry every time I listen to it. I chose the text to be written in circles with intention as the wedding rings have the same form and are a symbol of eternal love and the circle as a form represents being inclusive, whole and united and for a family these are one of the most important pillars for its happiness. Also, the dragonfly in the middle has a meaning. It is a symbol of happiness, new beginnings, hope and love. • As a whole, the entire piece has everything that I love most - calligraphy, flowers, flourishing elements and most importantly my forever love for pointed pen. • There is something magical about pointed pen calligraphy which I have discovered taking Varvara’s course. I would have never imagined myself that I would be ever capable of creating such creative works. During this course I was so surprised to rediscover myself by letting my creativity and ink flow together. • I am grateful and thankful that I had an amazing teacher like her, which has a real gift for teaching. Это лето будет у меня очень плодотворным Муж сделал мне прекрасный подарок - обучение у каллиграфа, чьи работы восхищают меня уже несколько лет - у Варвары @nikolietta_calligraphy. Это курс по стилю #копперплейт в свадебном направлении. Сейчас прошло уже 2 занятия, и мне безумно нравится Действительно фундаментальный курс, где мы подробно изучаем и практикуем каждый элемент написания, пишем много прописей и делаем творческие домашние задания. Готова моя первая работа - картина, нарисованная из базовых элементов, на основе которых встраивается шрифт копперплейт. Сегодня у меня был особый день - выпускной в школе каллиграфии @nikolietta_school Я счастлива, что прошла этот курс и получила бесценные знания и опыт. Немного грустно, что обучение закончилось - это были очень насыщенные и интересные 2 месяца, но впереди только лучшее, а с сокурсниками мы навсегда останемся хорошими друзьями Это я со своей выпускной работой, над которой трудилась последние 2 недели ✍ Я, конечно, ещё расскажу о ней подробнее, а пока хочу сказать огромное спасибо мужу @vadramanenka за этот прекрасный подарок, помощь и поддержку на протяжении всех моих занятий, за эту шикарную рамочку для картины и фотографии Спасибо Варваре @nikolietta_calligraphy за знания, тщательную проверку всех домашних работ, вдохновение и мотивацию верить в свои способности и на несколько шагов опережать самих себя ☺️ И спасибо всем, кто писал мне и был неравнодушным к моему творчеству, для меня это очень важно и ценно!

I've been a bit quite this week here as I am away on Easter holiday to visit our families and I found some time today to share a part of the creative task I submitted for lesson 6 with Varvara @nikolietta_school ❤✒✒ We finished Cyrillic alphabet last week and we had to choose a poem and write it creatively. I chose a poem by a Russian poet, A.S.Pushkin - Я помню чудное мгновение (A magic moment I remember), it is a very romantic poem addressed to his loved woman and this is the final result. I enjoyed so much creating this piece and really happy how it turned out, even though I made a few grammatical mistakes.
