The amount of negative comments this photo has received is alarming to me. ⁣ ⁣ What was meant as a reminder of just how good of a mother I am from my husband has been twisted and misconstrued into so many bad things, so I wanted to take some time to acknowledge something. ⁣ ⁣ My husband and I chose to have four kids and at no point have we regretted. Our children are very well taken care of and have everything they need. ⁣ ⁣ With that being said, my husband had just gotten home from work. I believe he had ran out to take the dogs for a quick walk when he came back to see me “in action” as he called it. ⁣ ⁣ For those that don’t know, I had been very depressed. For quite a few years actually and with each child it only got worse. There were days I plotted my death, a few I thought about taking my kids with me, as to not be a burden to my husband. But ultimately this picture was taken during a very difficult time in my life. ⁣ ⁣ I felt inadequate. I felt worthless. I wasn’t a good enough wife. I wasn’t a good enough mother and I damn sure wasn’t worth sticking around to continue to burden those I love, or so I thought. ⁣ ⁣ My husband took this picture to prove me wrong. He took this picture to show me just how valuable I was. He told me in this moment I was representing just what I was for him, the glue. The glue that hold our family together. ⁣ ⁣ He had known it all along and he prayed this would help me to realize it as well. If there are any mommas feeling how I felt, please know you are valuable. You are worthy. You are needed!
