Another season of Vintage Base Ball in the books, and my hometown Oakland Colonels finished strong, knocking off the top seed in the first round of the playoffs before falling to the Dublin Aces in the semis this past Saturday. A miserable cold bug kept me from watching their triumph last weekend and a wedding kept me from attending the championship, but I heard they were scrappy till the end, nearly coming back from an 8 run deficit with 5 in the final frame.
