I love listening to vinyl. I’m not even old enough to be nostalgic about it, but I love going to the thrift store, picking out an album I’ve never listened to before, and the moment of anticipation when I take it home and put the needle on the edge, waiting to see if I just found my new favorite song. There’s something so cozy about that little crackle in the spaces between the tracks. Some of my favorite albums right now are Jennifer Warnes, Dusty Springfield, and (of course) always the Beatles. I’ve been living at the beach since May; a change I wasn’t expecting, but one that has helped me feel reconnected in a way that’s hard to describe. While I know I can’t stay in my tiny beach abode forever (it’s totally impractical in terms of working from home, creating content, and being a dog & bunny mama), I plan to make the most of my days here and get down by the ocean for some deep breaths as often as I can!
