Confession: I used to be a Pop Tart addict. It was what got me up in the morning all those years ago when I wanted to develop a habit of quiet mediation and writing before everyone else in the house awakened. I would start the coffee brewing and pop a tart into the toaster. Yum!!!
I still maintain the habit of early rising and a few minutes of quietness with my morning cup, but it’s been years since I’ve had a Pop Tart. Until yesterday when we decided to make our own.

KRIS KRINKLE ALERT! Yep, we’re finally bringing this giant cookie to market again. Crispy around the edges, chewy in the center and packed with 70% Belgian Dark Chocolate...it’s everyone’s favorite.
These cookies are nicknamed ‘Pan-Bangers’ and for good reason. All those crinkles you see? They are created by banging the pan while the cookies are in the oven. Over and over, smack, smack, clatter, clatter. It’s quite a process and why we don’t put them on the menu more often.
