Not enough space for a big pantry in your kitchen?  Not everyone is blessed with a large walk-in pantry.  But you know what? I've had my small kitchen for near on 20 years now and it works. If anything, it means I don't have a lot of space to hoard things I don't need.  The pantry cupboard holds just enough food for 2 weeks plus room for the baking supplies and spices which don't need to be replenished so often. Just the way I like it.  It also means that I don't have a lot of tidying to do to keep the kitchen and pantry cupboards need and tidy.  There are the odd occasions that I have to give the pantry a bit of a sort because the kids have been in there and taken things, leaving an empty packet or just left it in a mess.  I love this narrow pantry cupboard and the pull out drawers by @kuechenstudio_kurttas for a tall deep shelved cubpoard.  Just imagine how much you could store in those drawers. The 3 main questions I ask myself when decluttering: . 1. Do I love it? If so, then it's a keep - regardless of whether it's a tatty, worn out pair of PJs or a book I've read several times. . 2. Do I use it? And I mean really use it... not keeping for the 'what ifs' or 'just in case' scenarios - if I haven't used it in months (excluding seasonal items) and I find myself thinking 'but what if...' then it can go - the what ifs don't happen and if they do chances are it can easily be replaced. For example, I've had a box of metal curtain rings in the house for over 2 years - yet all our curtains are eyelets, so I finally got rid. Low and behold, a short while later a colleague gave me a lovely pair of black out curtains for Elise's room and guess what? Pencil pleat! Did it matter? Not really, we picked up a couple of packs of new rings for 39p each. It wasn't the end of the world! If you don't use it, say bye . 3. Is it sentimental? This ones going to be personal to the individual but if I attach sentimental value to something I struggle to get rid - even if I hate the item. I've got a suitcase of my mam's clothes which I'll never wear, and a few of her ornaments in the glass cabinet in the kitchen, despite the fact I hate them - but I can't get rid of them. I used to attach this same sentiment to gifts I'd received but I'm getting better at letting go of those now. . . . What questions do you ask yourself when decluttering? Are you a spark joy person? A can't let go of anything person? Too much bathroom vanity top clutter?  I'm not too keen on too much on top of the vanity unit in the bathroom.  I prefer to give it a quick swipe in the morning to keep it clean but I do love having everything I need at my fingertips.  Makeup, cleansers, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush and I'm lucky I do have a medicine cabinet on the wall and enough drawer space to keep everything I need.
