On the 19th Feb 2018 we set of on our trip with a few planned stops along the way to finally get to Birdsville for the Big Red Bash , Australia’s most remote music festival. Well here we are at Birdsville , we head out to Big Red on Monday with the van to camp for 5 nights out there . Parked up on the Common in town with lots of others at the moment and more arriving everyday for about 6 nights . Been a great trip , seen heaps of good places , met heaps of great people . Propping up the bra, I mean bar, at the Daly Waters Historic Pub, one of the best Outback Hotels we have been to so far. As luck would have it, two local lads the same size as our boys walked in with their Dad just in time for us to borrow their hats for the photo. The hats were pretty beaten up and full of holes but according to these kids they were just “wearing ‘em in”.

Nindigully Pub I was really looking forward to Nindigully pub... however it was honestly a little disappointing. I don’t know exactly what I expected or why I didn’t love it but it wasn’t actually bad ‍♀️ The guy who runs it was really nice too... (I don’t know what my problem was ) The free camp on the creek was beautiful, and the pub provides showers in exchange for a donation to the RFDS which is awesome on their part. They have a big outdoor play area for kids too.
