Trying to get back into our normal routine by showing you what we made for meal prep this week. I made my #whole30 chicken salad bc 1) I already had chicken to throw in my @instantpotofficial to easily make the shredded chicken + 2) we wanted to be careful on our grocery expenses this week & this recipe is CHEAP to make (I got most of the ingredients from @aldiusa ) + 3) it is just one of my favorite lunches to have on hand!

I love to serve my chicken salad with a big handful of mixed greens, but it is also be so yummy scooped up in bell peppers or celery, & on sweet potato toast. It is so easy to make, is great for meal prep, & it is just so good!

Who knows how important gut health is♀️ Taking care of your gut is KEY to mental and physical well being
Your gut is the main communicator to your brain, so when you keep it nourished it allows you to control anxiety, aid digestion and sleep, balance your hormones and so much more.
So what’s one way we can nourish our gut? PROBIOTICS they build our good bacteria we need to stay healthy and alert and one you may have heard of I love to implement is apple cider vinegar.
If you can get this baby down it’ll not only build up your healthy gut bacteria but it can aid in:
•Regulating blood sugar (which helps diminish cravings)
•Ease digestion
•Lower cholesterol
•Improve skin
As with anything, test it out and see how you feel after a week or so I have managed to get it down with 2 Tbsp, 8 oz glass of water and honey. You can even cook with it if drinking it straight is just a no go for you. Make dressings and sauces, sauté with onions and make a salsa, get creative!❤️

Any kind of fruit crisp over yogurt is never a bad idea. Of course, over ice cream wouldn’t be a bad idea either. I use this same recipe for peach crisp and apple crisp, and I’m now on round two of blackberry crisp.

Ingredients:
•4 cups fresh blackberries
•1/4 cup pure maple syrup (or sugar of choice)
•1 cup sprouted flour (or flour of choice)
•1/3 cup coconut or cane sugar (plus more to sprinkle on top if desired) If you prefer your desserts a little sweeter, increase the amount to 1/2 cup.
•1/2 cup melted butter
•1 tsp baking powder
•1 tsp vanilla

Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 8x8 glass baking dish with butter. Combine blackberries and maple syrup in the bottom of the pan. In a separate bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients. Drop spoonfuls on top of the blackberries and spread around with your fingers or with the spoon. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle the top with sugar. Bake for another 10 minutes.

This is what meal prep looks like when I don’t want to do meal prep. It really doesn’t have to be complicated. Do what you can and do what works for you!

I buy most of my veggies pre-cut. All others get washed and cut up. Just this step makes it x easier to throw them in a pan or in my Instant Pot. Fish/meats are frozen, but I take them out the day before I’m going to cook them. Also have some canned sardines/salmon when that doesn’t happen or I just don’t have the time.

✨Pasture-raised eggs, for quick meals.

✨Sheep milk yogurt (my new obsession but currently looking for an organic, pasture-raised version ). Throw in some @foursigmatic protein powder and mushroom extracts for the best breakfast ever.
