It’s approx. 1200 kilometres long and don’t believe for one second that we completed the full length We wandered from Parachilna Gorge for some kilometres before heading back to our free camp in the Gorge. It’s remote, it’s hot, it’s dry and all 3 kids were whinging the whole way. After a great outback journey on the outback loop, I was grateful to move on to another fantastic part of South Australia in Farina. This wonderful historic small township has been revived through the great efforts of the Farina Restoration Group who have given time, #passion and #dedication to ensuring the history stays alive. There was the #farinaundergroundbakery, the general store, original homesteads and the FCG cricket ground where the pitch was made of pure cement and the edges out of railway sleepers and there was only gibbers and dirt so assuming no short cover diving occurred here! The @prairiehotel is famously known for the F.M.G aka feral mixed grill and #fargherlager - a mix of camel sausage, emu and kangaroo fillet. Very appetising. Not so much! but the locals were very friendly. Spectacular views could be seen of the #flindersranges and some of the gorges such as #parachilnagorge, #brachinagorge and #bunyeroogorge were eye catching. #wilpenapound was a wonderfully peaceful place to explore #hikingtrails and get some fresh air. The Wangara Lookout provided superb views of the Flinders Ranges and Stokes Hill Lookout had an amazing . The ☕️ @Flindersco Hawker was brilliant after a lot of @nescafe on the #strzelecki track!
