It’s Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Kaarakin team! What a year it has been! In July, with the help of Murdoch and DBCA, we released the 500th red tailed black cockatoo back into the wild in Boddington. It's been amazing to hear that this little guy made it safely to a new flock at Hotham Farm, a restoration area 120 kms south-east of Perth! In August, we also welcomed two Bogong dingo pups (a boy and a girl), who have now grown up (too fast!!) and are turning into beautiful Bogong dingoes. Again, we would like to thank all our volunteers, sponsors and our followers for their efforts and contributions. Without you, we would not be able to rescue, rehabilitate and release black cockatoos back into the wild. We entirely rely on donations and sponsorships and thanks to your support, we celebrated our 10th year anniversary in November! We made the headlines in the Kaarakin Post, a newsletter full of anectdotes about Kaarakin (www.blackcockatoorecovery.com/10th-year-anniversary/) and also internationally thanks to our Czech supporter Milan.
