TAKE TIME FOR YOU ✨✨✨ After a magical relaxing, chilled weekend spent in nature down south I am back in Perth and straight back into the chaos of work People tend to say I go on holiday a lot but I actually think it is very important to take time out for yourself to relax and unwind. Especially with my job although I am a personal trainer and online coach, I sometimes feel like I am a psychiatrist which isn’t a bad thing because I love my job and I am naturally a compassionate person and I love to help people, but it’s also important to help yourself. So just a little reminder to never feel guilty for doing something for you and that makes you happy. Who agrees with me? What do you do for yourself to recharge? Today on @9newsperth #ThePulse I talked about creating work/life balance as a biz owner.⁣ ⁣ When you work for someone else, they set your working hours and your breaks.⁣ ⁣ When you work for yourself it can be so hard to switch off and find balance.⁣ ⁣ Why?⁣ ⁣ Because sometimes you don’t have any other choice! When you’re a creative, your brain doesn’t start working at 9 and finish at 5 and if you want to be successful those first few years in business are TOUGH and require your constant attention.⁣ ⁣ You can’t afford to hire staff.⁣ You can’t afford to have days off.⁣ ⁣ So where does that leave you? ‍♀️⁣ ⁣ Everything comes back on you and you’ve got no choice but to make sacrifices to succeed.⁣ ⁣ What I do know that works from my past 4 years in biz? YOU are the only person who can create your work life/balance and set your working hours/limits/rules. And it takes serious discipline to stick to - errrrrrrrrday!⁣ ⁣ But you are only one person and you can only do so much, so finding whatever balance works for you is essential for the longevity of you business.. and your mind! ⁣ ⁣ @eloisesmith_va and I also chatted about this on today’s free webinar (which is still on my story if you would like to watch it now) but I’d love to know how you find work/life balance as a business owner?⁣ ⁣ Please share your tips below ..you never know who your advice could help!
