You asked me, 'what is that one thing i need to know if i want to be with you?' . To which i said, 'you need to decipher the words that hide behind my silence and my tears' . Most people who know me do know that i hardly talk too much. You would find me in a corner of every crowded room i was forced to go to, hiding behind people. What they don't know is that while words hardly escape my lips, they have created a wilderness in my mind. . So the first time you told me that you loved me, i didn't say anything for two days. But wherever i went, a smile followed me. Whenever i walked into a room filled with unknown people, my eyes would look for you. Whenever i saw you, all i wanted to do was tell you all the poems i thought weren't good enough to express what i felt for you. . It was as if happiness and love walked into my life holding hands. . The third day, you got tired. 'do you love me?' . With my fingertip, i wrote on your palm. YES. It's strangely sad how i had to gather all the love i felt for you and stash them into a three-lettered word. . That's the thing about loving silence a little too much. You somehow end up waging a war with words. . Little by little, you started learning the words that went unspoken. Little by little, i started learning how to say i-love-you out loud. . So today when i am in this library and i see you walking through the door with someone a lot prettier than me, all i hope is one thing. . Please do not understand the words that hide behind my silence. . They still sound like a poem where happiness and love forgot to stay apart .
