"The Winter Struggle of a Soul", 24"x20" on its way to the WAUSAU MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART for their 2019 Bienal Portrait Exhibition. This painting depicts the many complicated emotions we feel in our lives and our inner struggles to survive and maintain equilibrium. My niece @alexvaldessss who visited last month posed for it. Her pink colored hair reminded me of the warmth we are able to keep in our hearts through hope, love and joy regardless of how cold it really is.
