Has this ever happened to you? You get a gorgeous new ink that you can’t wait to try with your nib, but then... womp womp! It bleeds and feathers and just doesn’t work the way you thought it would — Well, didya know there’s a magical substance that can fix that problem? It’s called Gum Arabic - it’s made from the sap of acacia trees and it can thicken up any ink you add it to — I used it on this gorgeously deep blue, shimmering ink that @herbininks sent me. Ok, who saw #GameOfThrones yesterday and then immediately re-watched that key scene? ‍♀️ Trying to avoid spoilers, but god-fuckin’-damn!! — Did some #RealTimeLettering to capture my #GOT enthusiasm That’s right, no time lapse on this one. I think I’m getting better at fast calligraphy.... I won’t ever be as lightning-quick as @calligkatrina or @seniman_calligraphy, but it’s kind of a fun thing to practice.
