Throw Back to when I pregnant with my sweet Lucy. This picture was taken almost 2 years ago. My pregnancy with her was amazing. However, we had no idea what we were in for ❤️ Little did we know at that time that she would be born 6 weeks premature. We didn’t know we would need to spend two weeks in special care or that she would be tube fed. We didn’t know that she wouldn’t always hit milestones “on schedule” or that we would work with specialty doctors to help her achieve her growth and development. We didn’t know she would be taken by ambulance to the hospital in respiratory distress or that she would have pneumonia. We didn’t know any of these things. Lucy’s first year and half was not easy for her. However; she has a fighting spirit without a doubt! She has overcome a lot and is now doing so well. I don’t think I will ever stop worrying about her or her sister but that is just what moms do. So if you are going through a difficult time right now know I will pray for you. Please know it will get better. Being a mom is one the most amazing things I have ever experienced. Only a handful of photos exist of my first son and I together and I wish I had more. Of course I have thousands of him, but I rarely got in the frame with him. • As a result I make the effort to document the everyday with this boy. It’s not glamorous. It’s the leggings, the baby weight, undereye circles, but most importantly the bond between us. • If you’re the resident picture taker, do yourself the favor and get in front of the camera. Use the self-timer, remote, or simply ask your partner. 10 years from now you will be happy you did. I promise.

I can’t believe a love like this exists Everything about her is so perfect, I’m learning her little personality and expressions and she is just the best little baby. Passing all her tests and being such a trooper through all her exams! I am so glad she was so strong and made it out of the NICU when she did being away from her was torture! ❤️

I actually got to hold and touch my little one today (more than 24 hours after her birth) and my heart has never been fuller. I can't believe I get to call her "my daughter" after all these months of imagining what she would look like and she's finally here. I will likely be able to go home in about 3 days but still no word on when Aubrey can follow as she is still being fed by tube but doing better every day!
