Daydreaming of this fairytale ivy-covered purple house that I called home for a few days last summer, and the woods it was nestled in. I’ve been yearning for that sort of solitude in nature lately and am excited to head to the woods again next weekend. But for now, I’m diligently cleaning my entire home, shedding the past in the form of clothes and possessions I no longer need. Once I’m done with my personal belongings and space, I’ll begin the same process in my studio. Expect to see a stone sale soon as I let go of some supplies to make room for new ones! Happy Monday, friends! In this new year one of my goals is to walk even more, and really explore SF neighborhoods like never before. I want each day to be a totally different experience than the day before, so I really want to switch up the neighborhoods. For example, I want to be in the Marina one day, and the Excelsior the next. I’m also trying to visit a new restaurant in San Francisco each day. Anyway, today I roamed around the Mission and took a ton of pics. These are my three favorite photos from today, as I felt like they captured the architectural vibe of the neighborhood. I was also struck by the fact that even on a cloudy day, the colors of the Mission always pop. __________

When I saw this photo from @mrsbtravelgrams , I instantly remembered a childhood book I read over and over called Mr. Pines Purple House. Does anyone else remember it? It was about a street of homes that looked alike and neighbors kept copying each other if someone changed something. Mr Pine finally painted his house purple to stand out from the rest.
