...So proud of my 4th grade Exhibition group; The Environment Aces (A clean Earth)! The worked so diligently for weeks inquiring into and researching different forms of pollution, the effects of pollution and what action we can take to reduce it. They co-constructed the central idea ‘ Understanding the everyday challenges our planet faces, empowers us to find solutions to keep our earth clean.’ , and confidently shared their knowledge and action with the whole school community, including their grade levels peers, parents, all faculty and staff! #PYPx: Grade 5 is conducting interviews for their PYPx mini-exhibit focusing on racism and colonization. Here the group interviews Ugaas as part of a larger documentary about their chosen subject.

✅ Before the midterm break Grade 5 held their annual Exhibition. The students worked very hard over several weeks and we're so happy to have shared their inquiries with their parents, teachers, peers and mentors. Upon reflection, the students felt that they were successful in the way they chose to connect to our Transdisciplinary Theme, "How We Express Ourselves". Students found a variety of ways to present their research, such as skits, interactive props, displays, videos and posters. Throughout the process, they reflected on the various aspects of the IB Learner Profile, which has guided them throughout their PYP education. The presentation was a good opportunity to see the amount of growth these students have made over the years. Overall, the Grade 5 class feels fortunate to have such a supportive, caring IST community behind them.
