Lately I’ve seen so many mamas writing how bullying is the worst and it makes me so scared for him to grow up and for that season of life with heartbreak and life lessons. It’s inevitable with how awful this world is sometimes. What I’ve heard and read over and over lately is about how important a foundation is. It’s how i want to raise him that it’s not his personality, his athletic ability, or his looks that make him who he is. I want him to know his identity is in God. That when someone hurts him with words or whatever that they aren’t attacking his identity they are doing it because they themselves are hurt. I dont want to watch him crumble at one mean word, i want to watch him stand up for himself and always know the truth of who he is. Imagine how differently this world would be if people knew who they were and hadn’t been hurt by others words in the first place. I will raise a strong, kind individual that will hopefully make this world a better place. He’s just one person but sometimes it only takes one #raisethemright #raisethemstrong #toddlerfashion #toddlersofinstagram
Happy 17th Birthday Chloe!!! We still can’t believe we have a 17 year old but we could not be more proud of the young woman you are working hard on becoming. Don’t ever loose your work ethic and huge heart. Love you ! Lil sissy loved making cup cakes and has since decided that is all she wants to ever eat .

Real talk: Y’all single moms and dads out there...I get it. Those of you who feel like you’re doing the parenting thing with little support, you sole providers, you beautiful badasses determined to swallow all the grit you have to deal with just for a shot at keeping smiles on your kids’ faces because you KNOW their happiness is more important than anything else, including your feelings. You hard-workers, you never-quitters, you get-stomped-downers, you wearers of many hats, those of you determined to give your kids enough, even when the other half of your team fails. You second guessers, and those of you getting manipulated and put down. I see you. I think sometimes the strength of a person lies in the hard days they don’t share with the world. I’m in this book world for one reason, and it’s to make y’all happy. And in my personal life, everything else goes to making my people happy. My big ol smile doesn’t mean I don’t have shit days, or feel alone sometimes, or that I have this whole single parent gig figured out. It just means I’m determined to do this life thing in a way that teaches my kids how to be resilient. #raisethemstrong
