❌Buying directly from recasters ❌ . I don't support recasters making a profit off other people's work. I can't control anyone else's actions but I'll never do this myself. However, I will never turn someone away as a friend for owning one. I just never will myself. . ❌Passing recast off as legit❌ . Please do not intentionally try to deceive people, especially when it involves invading spaces where recast are not allowed. There are plenty of pro/neutral recast spaces. . ❌Providing dolls to recasters❌ . Please do not provide/sell dolls to recasters. I don't think this is as common of a thing as it's made out to be but I still may as well say it. . ️Buying secondhand recast dolls️ . Once the doll is purchased from the recaster the damage is already done. Throwing away the doll, breaking it, etc. will only harm the buyer, not the recaster. Selling a recasted doll can help a person save up to go legit and also allow people who would have bought a recast regardless to buy one without giving money to a recaster. Personally, I would have no problem buying and owning a secondhand recast, especially if it meant helping a person raise funds to go legit. Just be sure not to try to deceive people into thinking you are buying or selling a legit doll. . ❌Bullying❌ . Do I even need to explain this? Most of us are adults, let's act like them and treat eachother with respect. . ️Cheap Dolls/Expensive Dolls️ . A dolls worth should not be determined by it's price but by how much it means to the person who owned it and how much love was put into it's creation. All dolls are good dolls. . ️Old Dolls️ . Yellowed, vintage, chipped, stained, etc. I see these as signs of love from over the years! They don't make a doll bad or less worthy than other dolls. ️All Other Types Of Dolls️ . It's okay to have dolls that aren't BJDs. I have many kinds of dolls (Barbie, EAH, porcelain, figurines, etc.). BJDs arent the only good type of doll. As I've said before, all dolls are good! . So first and foremost, here is why I buy/support buying secondhand recasts: . *It helps the seller save up to go legit (the most important reason) . *Harms the recaster's business because never see a cent of the money . *cheap doll to try risky mods on without defacing/ruining a legit, even if it's a cheap legit (because I'd much rather ruin a recast than a doll an actual artist worked hard on) . *Discourages people from feeling the need to sell recasts as legit (as in people going legit that are scared/ashamed that they owned them, not the scammers. There's no hope for scammers -_-) . ***Please note that I do NOT support buying dolls, clothing, or any other items from recasters. I refuse to put my money in their pockets through any means. If you wanna do that then you do you and I will not treat you badly for it but this is just something I choose not to do. I also will ALWAYS tag this and any other secondhand recast I own as such because honesty and full disclosure is important and I really urge other recast owners to do the same. You may get hate, you may lose followers, etc. but it's wrong to mislead people and invade spaces where you are not welcome and that is much better than promoting a lie. On top of this, once I have the doll in my possession I'll be sure to take photos and point out some key features of recast to help wary buyers identify them and not get scammed/recognize when they have been scammed. I have seen some things like this but not a ton so why not contribute? Also, I will still be buying legits and I look forward to buying many more beautiful legit dolls in the future! And lastly, I'm not rich or anything but if you are trying to go legit I will try my best to help you out. Whether it's buying an old recast, commissioning you, buying old doll clothes, promoting your sale, or even just providing you with lists of cheap dolls or sale hunting for/with you I will be more than glad to do it so don't be afraid to shoot me a message of you need assistance!
