I was a bit hesitant to share this because 1. I thought it might be embarrassing and 2. Cutting your own hair hardly screams #successful #entrepreneur does it? But actually, I realised I don’t feel ashamed. I’m trying to honestly show what it’s like running a #startup, be it #glamorous or not so glamorous. So here it is. First things first, ofc I could actually afford a haircut if I wanted, but that I choose to cut it myself is a #reflection of my current #mindset and financial situation. Though @simplytrios is doing well, it doesn’t generate a steady, secure stream of #income, and though I’m currently in a financially secure position, this definitely hasn’t been the case in the past. Not too long ago I only had £100 in my bank account (just look back to one of the first posts I made when I started this account). It sounds silly, but during that time, relative to £100, £10 represented a significant sum for me. Things are wayyy better now, but I still think like I only have £100, and have the mentality that I could easily return to such a position in the future. As a result, I am frugal wherever I can be. If this means not spending #money on a haircut then so be it. I’d rather have that money to pay for food, visit friends, run the business or whatever else I deem more #important.
