Hey guys so this evening i want to introduce you to one of my guilty pleasures for the four years i was in NAU; Nnamdi Azikwe University Awka... . . This is "beans agworoagwo" If you are igbo you might understand the concept of this food from the name, but basically; this is a locally prepared this by vendors inside and around the school environs, it usually includes well cooked beans brought to the stands, and they prepare their special sauce and roast plantain at the stand. . Whenever a customer arrives and places a request they put the beans in a bowl slice up roasted plantain either ripe or unripe based on your request pour a large drizzle of the sauce (i usually request for extra from my customer) and just use a spatula and make a rigorous process of mixing( this is where the "agworoagwo" comes from). After wards they dish it into a plate add extra drizzles of sauce and extra veggies as toppings if you so wish. . . My favorite vendor at "bamboo" (our food section of school) is "ukaamaka". This was probably the first meal i ate out as a student, because while growing i never ate outside of home, so on getting to school it took me months before i could adjust to the whole eating out system, This is also the reason why i haven't eaten a whole lot of foods as everything i ever tried was at home. . . Would you try this whenever you in Awka?
