CREATIVITY ~ creation. Ever since @thebridgeretreat last year many things have continued to unravel and one of those is my relationship to and understanding of creativity. . . Allowing myself to grieve created so much space for new energies to move and be awoken within me. And one of those is creative life force energy. I have felt a big reconnection to creativity, the part of me that used to paint, draw, sing, dance, write and along with that now - the appreciation of creation in everything! From nature to the carefully created crafts made by people from nature. . . I connected to the Love that goes into creation and recognised I wanted to live my life in this cycle of creating with Love. Taking the time and the presence to create. I then realised we are constantly in a state of creation and when we’re not we’re in its partner form: destruction. This is vital, not bad or good, wrong or right but simply a life giving and renewal cycle to all Life. This interestingly allowed me to move through & acknowledge my paths of destruction, seeing my dark side/my shadow self and allowing her to take space. In allowing this process I was then able to make room for continual transformation, growth. . . This lead me to understand the Hindu deity Kali who represents both creation & destruction. I then started to see the link between what it meant to be a woman, who can create children, new life. How powerful is that. I also started to see that we don’t only create by having children, we create in every way we want to! Creating a business, creating poetry, art, food, home, music, etc. & then I recognised how little we have been tapping into this creative life force energy. How much of it has been fast asleep in us for so long? Do we recognise we are the creators? . . The next part of my journey was & still is understanding that sexual energy and creativity come from the same place. Reproduction, sex, making babies is a Divine creative process. I explored what it was like to channel that sexual energy into something creative other than the physical act of sex and bloom! It was like experiencing an explosion of flowers I never felt so alive!
