⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ If you’re in a dark place, this is for you.⠀ ⠀ There’s a place in Tennessee called Ruby Falls, a spectacular natural waterfall that flows about 1120 feet underneath a mountain range. To get to the waterfall you have to go underground 260 feet in an elevator, and then hike nearly a mile on a slippery underground trail through dark caverns, low ceilings, and stalactite rock formations, until you’re at a depth equal to the height of the Empire State Building! Finally, after this arduous journey, the cavern opens up to reveal this glorious, rainwater-fed 145 foot high waterfall.⠀ ⠀ It is stunning.⠀ ⠀ I think life is often like a visit to Ruby Falls. Sometimes you find yourself in a dark place where you bump your head, slip over, and feel like things are heading downhill fast. Am I right?⠀ ⠀ But ... if you have the faith to keep on walking—to keep pushing forward—you will eventually find something glorious and miraculous that only God could orchestrate.
