@prudierosemelbourne This is not a Christmas book but your Rumer Godden books made me think of my favorite childhood book. Great aunt Pearl looked for books with our names in them. I have always been called Mary Ann, this book has a Mary. There’s a mouse family in the basement. Bonnie, the littlest mouse in a huge family, is always getting pushed out of warm places to sleep. She finds a bed in Mary’s doll house. Bonnie and her family make a mess of the house. Kind Mary takes the house to the basement and Bonnie doesn’t get pushed out of bed any more. I just love the softly colored illustrations.

#rumergodden #acantilado1999 #carlosollorazquin
