Wild Violet Cough Syrup! One of my favorite days of the year... I should declare it a holiday! Pic 1: Put 1C violets, no stems, green parts are fine, into a sauce pan. Pic 2: Add 1C filtered water. Pic 3-4: Gently simmer until petals turn white and purple color disperses into water. Pic 5: Strain violets out of the water. Notice the water turned a darker, gray or blue color. Pic 6: Add 2 generous squeezes of lemon to the strained violet water. Watch it turn to a beautiful pink or purple color! Return violet, lemon water back to sauce pan. Pic 7: Add up to 1C sugar. The thickness of your syrup depends on how much sugar you use. (Taste will still be good with less.) - You can use maple syrup instead but use 1/2C and skip to step 9. (It will just be runny, like regular syrup.) Pic 8: Boil on med-high heat until syrup begins to thicken. Pic 9: Pour syrup into glass container, let cool slightly. You can skip the next step if you have issues with honey or just want to leave it as a plain syrup. However, the honey adds extra immunity against local pollens, which is great for seasonal allergies. Pic 10: Add 1/4C- 1/2C local honey. (The "Sunset Phase"!) Stir well to combine. - It is important to use local honey to help your immune system. - Refrigerate for up to 1 year. (Can leave un-refridgerated for less time.) - Use 1-2 tablespoons every few hrs when getting a cough. We had tried styling Zeph’s hair with a few different kids hair products imported from overseas but honestly these products though claims to be kids safe are not strong enough to withstand the humidity of our weather here. Zeph had been sharing Daddy’s hair wax when we ocassionally want to look neat and put together. But now we have discover a whole new world! A great hair wax from @atono2.sg brought by @thedinkyshop. This Korean hair products is manufactured with kids safety in mind, using only harmless ingredient. Despite the strong holding power(it lasted through a good 8 hr of solid indoor play) it washes off easily without any residue. En este post te voy a mostrar como preparar un Limpiador Cítrico con Vinagre Totalmente Ecológico, muy bueno para personas con alergias. 1- Agrega las cáscaras de limon y/o naranja en un envase 2- Cúbrelas con vinagre blanco 3- Deja reposar por aproximadamente 2 semanas 4- Pasa por un colador de tela y dilúyelo partes iguales con agua 5- Úsalo como un limpiador todo uso Yo le añado unas gotas de aceite esencial de limón o naranja para un olor mas profundo y propiedades más fuertes. No tóxico, totalmente natural. Guarda las cascaras en la nevera en un envase bien cerrado mientras terminas de juntar la cantidad que necesites. Yo en lo personal, trato de llenar el envase. Limpia bien las cascaras, no le dejes restos de naranja. Mientras espero, utilizó un spray con vinagre blanco y agua, esté lo uso en la cocina únicamente y si quiero lavar alguna fruta o verdura puedo usar el mismo. Y preparo otro que tengo un poco de esencia para limpiar el resto de la casa, mesas, baños, puertas, manillas, juguetes, pisos, electrodomésticos metálicos, grifos en especial por donde sale el agua, botes de basura, vidrios, espejos, la nevera, refrigerador... . Lo utilizó especialmente como último enjuague en los envases cuando quiero hacer preparaciones que requieren fermentación ó alguna de mis preparaciones para uso corporal. Para limpiar superficies lo utilizó como cualquier limpiador todo uso. No lo uses sobre mármol, granito, piedra, laminados, pantallas.
