The magic of this moment was completely unforgettable. We were knee deep in swirling ocean water - we splashed our way out across the shallow bay, my bare feet sinking into the soggy warm sand below as we dodged passing fish and little ocean friends. The sun was setting across the horizon, and the clouds rolled in through the air, filling every inch of sky in a fairytale-like haze. Suddenly, the warm sunny afternoon’s tones of golden and yellow danced their way straight towards blue and gray - and the scene turned into something that looked like it was straight out of an epic Hollywood movie poster. These three magical creatures - with eyes sparkling like spun gold - posed for me like proper rockstars, excited to be on an adventure all their own and I swear to you I could have cried in that moment over how truly magical it all was.
If you follow my Instagram stories, you may have seen all the beautiful behind the scenes adventures and shenanigans I got up to for my 2 week long shoot with the incredible @seguidedogs down on the western coast of Florida. I knew we had to make imagery that was worthy of the indescribably powerful mission and stories of these once-in-a-lifetime dogs: dogs who will go on to be the eyes for the blind and visually impaired, and who will go on to serve those who have served us, as assistance dogs for Veterans. I worked with everything in my heart each day to do these dogs’ justice, and I couldn’t have made any of it happen without their incredibly patient and talented trainers. (Shoutout to Marisa and Marci!) I cant wait to share more from this unforgettable adventure with you all!
Emmy Lee shows off on her final blindfold today. Stops for an overhang, stops for a curb, gets the love, feeling proud of herself, gets a treat (Picture is a collage of 3 photos showing a yellow lab in harness with her blindfolded trainer. In the first one she is looking up at her trainer while the trainer located a low laying branch. In the second one she has stopped with her front feet on a curb and is getting her chest scratched by her trainer, with a very happy face. In the third one the trainer is delivering a treat to her mouth.) #guidedog #segd #goodgirl #willworkforpets #willdefinitelyworkforfood #senioryear #ididgood
I remember the opening reception. It was supposed to have been earlier in the year but I was busy having @rafiasworld. Wow! That was almost 30 years ago! Thank you @lightworkorg for being so understanding! This #churchfan was designed by my collaborator and accomplice #graphicdesigner #AjubaDouglas, member of The Society of Environmental Graphic Designers #SEGD. #ephemera #africanamericana
We’re honored and excited to be presenting a selection of our favorite interior projects for the 2019 SEGD conference. @segddesign

Dusty works by a difficult dog distraction today in Palmetto. All the impulse control work has paid off! Shout out to the Palmetto pup for putting Dusty to the test! (Video shows yellow lab working off curb down a street with a dog running in the driveway to the left, staying in the driveway because of an invisible fence.) #dogdistraction #goodboy #segd #guidedog #wanttoplaybutcantrightnow
