I have to say, last night's #SexualHealthMatters speaker series was one of my absolute favorites to date! We covered a whole range of topics, from basic hygiene with adolescents to explaining consent, to the difference between gender and sexuality to sexual assault statistics, and when to have these conversations as your child develops. I truly believe knowledge is power, especially when it comes to our bodies and sexual wellbeing. It's my goal to spread awareness about sexual health and provide as many resources as possible because the more we educate our adolescents, teens, and ourselves, the more power we have to make informed decisions regarding our sexual wellness-- something many people take for granted! I'd like to thank everyone who attended the event and contributed to the discussion, it means the absolute world to me! Last night would not have been possible without you and your continued support or our incredible panelists, Dr. Rula Kanj, Dr. Sarah Pickle, Lydia Bowers and Dr. Anisa Shomo. Thank you for taking the time to share your expertise and lead the conversation on how to comfortably start a dialogue about sexual health with our youth. Together, we are making an uncomfortable conversation more comfortable and letting the world know: sexual health is NOT a dirty word.
