I wasn't a big fan of peranakan cuisine. But @folkloresg did change my perspective pretty much. . The fried rice, asam pork, mixed vegetables, beef rendang and sago with gula melaka were my favourite dishes of the night. . Total damage was about $40 per pax. I’ll admit, the delicious looking photos on Instagram made me do it! Today I tried Tsujirihei Honten’s Uji Matcha Nama Soft Serve (the hojicha was out) at Taka, and it’s hands down the best matcha ice cream I’ve had. It’s rich, slightly bitter and not sweet at all. I’m not a big fan of ice cream (gasp!), but several friends have raved about Godiva’s dark chocolate ice cream. When I saw they were also offering matcha ice cream, I decided to give it a try. Of the two, I preferred the dark chocolate, which was rich but not too sweet.
