We’ve had our pup for a little over 3 months now. He’s taught me a lot about myself (or at least cemented some things I already knew to be true). I wrote out a long post detailing all of this and more but just hit delete. I mean, who wants to read a load of heavy vulnerability on a Sunday morning?! But suffice to say I’m the most creatively stagnant I’ve ever been right now because I’m just not able to juggle the demands of a high needs puppy, or my personal expectations, with creating images. I haven’t picked up my camera for more than 4 or 5 frames in 3 months. So this past spring (and now summer) our lives have gone undocumented, unless you count the thousands of dodgy iPhone pics I have of the dog as he grows (@sollythegsp). Hopefully, a little further down the line, I can look back to this post and realise how far we (the dog and I) have come. But that photographic gap will remain as a reminder of this time.
