UPDATE: ok everyone - so I’m not overly thrilled to share that her owners came back for her... I’m super happy that she’s no longer at the shelter but *cannot* get over the fact that this same family dumped her - knowing she could have been killed - for **TWO WEEKS** and then decided they’d take her back. I don’t consider her safe When the F*CK did shelters become a place for lazy, worthless POS humans to dump their pets like trash when they’re done with them!? We are speechless at how many dogs in this city are being disregarded with zero respect for their lives. Luckily this sweet baby is 10 years old and has many years left - unlike Arnold who we pulled from this same shelter a few weeks ago at 20 YEARS OLD (who was dumped “for being old”) and who only had 8 days with us. We want to see a day where these human-monsters are never EVER allowed to adopt another dog and are publicly acknowledged for such a heartless act. There is NO excuse for dumping your pet at these shit hole shelters - the majority who die ☠️ lonely and terrified ... we need to act. We need to continue to DO SOMETHING.
