Story time! So the other day, we were downtown St Petersburg and trying to get a group picture. We strayed from the side walk to a path with benches, and trees covering us in the shade - a really nice background and setting for a picture of everyone. The dogs are pretty easy to line up - they know the drill and eagerly wait to be called to line it in for a snack (pictures and stays always = LOTS of beef liver). So here I am setting dogs up, putting leashes behind them so it’s easier to take out later (there’s a real knack and plan to this haha). There is MORE than enough room to move around us, choose a different path through the park, etc. I choose quiet places to pull over for pictures, and am mindful to be out of the way for people to easily pass so we’re not ‘in the way’. EVERYONE walked straight towards us. Not around us, towards us - and there was PLENTY of room to move around us. To top it all off, some people even started to approach us to pet (without asking) or coo the dogs towards them. It got me thinking - I never do that! Dogs or not, when I see someone lining up their children for that memorable shot, taking a family or group photo or just a person taking a picture of their dog - I always wait, or walk around, or choose a different walkway. To that someone, that picture is important! Thankfully, my guys have a good ‘stay’ and ‘leave it’ command, and we’re way more interested in the bag of liver that was to go their way than the people. We ended up giving up, and just enjoying the afternoon together and came back during the work week which faired much better for us

He left out the ‘the ones who drive you nuts some days’ but still, oh, so accurate. I love these guys, unconditionally, on the annoying days, and the good ones. There’s no one I’d rather come home to after a day out of the home, or wake up to (or be woken up by). ❤️ It’s thanks to them I’ve experienced so many new places, and met so many amazing people.
: where’s your happy place? Mine is anywhere my family is - as long as I have my l loved ones with me (dog, and human), I am happy to be wherever I am at the time. That being said, Florida has been an amazing experience. It’s been a place that’s always been close to my heart, and I’m thankful to be able to Share it with those I love ❤️
Goooooodmorning guys!!! ♥️
