Four years ago I did Glasto for the very first time, or should I say that Glastso did me? I knew if I didn’t hit the muddy music trail and brave the lunacy of the lurid loos, I would miss out in this lifetime. Arriving with the biggest @Samsonite roller suitcase to the VIP Glamping Section, along with fantastical hopes of a porter waiting to greet. After 8 hours journey, I hauled my luggage across a mile of uneven dirt - I really had no idea what I was letting myself in for. What I do know is that it was one of my least sober, most fun, ridiculously irresponsible and amazingly magical four days of my life! Not least when I stumbled upon Sir Michael Eavis himself holding a press conference. He was delightful, fun and full of mischief as he beckoned me to come have a chat. The man himself really was the perfect host. At over 80 I was inspired by his lust for life, incredible cool and simple love for the tradition of Glasto. In those 5 nights friendships were forged and stories for life were cemented in secret pledges. What goes on in Glastso, stays in Glasto and long may that continue! Thank you @michaeleavis for making this chicks @glastonburyfestival stay extraordinary. Oh my what a week it was! Four years has passed and life’s changed a lot. I can’t imagine a revisit but I continue to encourage you to push your comfort zones, try the unthinkable and lose yourself now and again. Life’s for living, don’t let it pass you by without trying new and fun stuff, take time to be irresponsible and let your inner teenager out to play. Just now and again, it’s truly good for the soul!
