As a very time poor, full time working mum , I’m constantly told by frustrated friends and family to “make time” for things . This to me, is just a ridiculous thing to say. You can change your priorities , you can savour time , but no matter how hard you try you can never create time . While I’m sitting in my office for 12 hours feeling older and slower by the second, I know that there is nothing I can do right now. I have to make money to feed my children, and no matter how hard I try a day will always be 24hrs . If you have a friend who is in a similar situation, someone who seems to always be working . Please be kind, patient and understanding . I know it’s easy to give up on the friendships or people who feel like they don’t exist. Just remember that they really badly want to exist, they just cant afford to make an appearance. To the people who are right now working to the bone trying to change their cycle. I know living off four hours of sleep, and being lonely, can let the demons within you have a louder voice. Please for me, Every day wake up and destroy them. The first thing you should say to yourself each morning is “I’m going to feel great today” make that subconscious choice, and don’t forget with the little free time you do have to enjoy what you can, and smile .
